Working at the Car Wash!

Well as some of you know I had a Car Wash fund raiser for the Wrestling team on Sunday and I have to say it went pretty well. I think we could've done a little better, but given that the weather broke that day (it ended up being almost 80 in October in NY!) people headed off to the pumpkin fields or beach instead. I had 20 boys show up to help plus some parents and we raised $500. I think that was pretty good for our first time even attempting this sort of fund raiser. All the money is going towards reducing the cost of summer camp for whoever attends. I am hoping to also getting a bake sale in there in the next month and maybe a chinesse auction. As I mentioned previously, I forgot my camera so I have no photos of my own. Waiting for one mom who brought down her camera for a little while to give me photos as soon as I get them, I'll post them.

I've been tagged by Colleen:

2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself (on your blog, we all want to know them).
1. I do not like the cold weather.
2. I can whistle like a man and I've been told that it is much louder than a mans!
3. I could sit in a hot tub for hours.
4. This is not my natural hair color (shoot! did I really say that?) I color it myself and it takes me almost 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. The color I use most often is LoReal's For Dark Hair Only- RED HOT
5. I was a catcher in softball for many years until a knee injury and then I played first base for 7 years. I even played on a major womens team at the age of 17.
6. I could eat ice cream everyday. (and usually do, lol)
7. I'm a tough love type of person. Kids today have most things handed to them on a silver platter. I saw a 16 year old the other day in his new BMW that his daddy gave him. What are we teaching our kids? My kids had to earn their first vehicle from me and let me say most of the vehicles were over 20 years years old or close to it when they got it. Not only that.... they have to pay their insurance on their vehicles also. Hello, I don't have an extra $3,000-$5,000. to spare.

What Color?

you are deeppink
#FF1493

Your dominant hues are red and magenta. You love doing your own thing and going on your own adventures, but there are close friends you know you just can't leave behind. You can influence others on days when you're patient, but most times you just want to go out, have fun, and do your own thing.

Your saturation level is high - you get into life and have a strong personality. Everyone you meet will either love you or hate you - either way, your goal is to get them to change the world with you. You are very hard working and don't have much patience for people without your initiative.

Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation.

What were you doing?

The 2 peas challenge for today: What were you doing 10 years ago around this time? What were you doing 5 years ago around this time? What are you doing right now? What do you think you will be doing in the future?
Well for me about 10 years ago I know that I was camping. We would always go camping around this time (dh's birthday). The kids and dh always had a great time. I like camping, but I can no longer do the tent and sleepingbag thing. Lets not forget that normally at this time of the year it is usually pretty cold especially at night. I would sleep in my van on the bed and usually by 3am everyone else had mosey on in there also. 6 of us on the bed in the van, no room to turn thats for sure. On the way home we would stop off at the pumpkin farm out east and pick our pumpkins. That is the way it has been for many, many years.
What do I think I will be doing in the future? Hmmmm.... I'm not really sure. I do know that in 2 years from now I won't be here anymore (at least I'm praying that I won't be here in NY anymore). I plan on being in Las Vegas or close to there.

Thats it for me for today. I am just so tired the last 2 days. I think I over did it at the Wrestling Car Wash on Sunday, which I still need to write about. Can you believe that I forgot to bring my camera! I can't. I am so mad at myself. One of the other mom's brought down a camera for a little while and took a few photos so, I am waiting for her to send them to me. I will tell you all about that probably tomorrow. We had fun.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!

Getting Ready

We are getting ready for a Car Wash fund raiser for the Wrestling team. It is this Sunday and I'm happy to say that Applebee's was kind enough to give of the use of their parking lot and water. Hopefully the weather people are right and the weather is nice like they are predicting. I'm hoping that we will raise about $1,000. at this Car Wash. This will be a big help in sending the boys to camp this summer.

Planning a Car Wash is no easy task, let me tell you. You have to find a place that will allow you to do it first of all. Then you have to keep reminding the boys that they NEED to be there. Then you have to try to recruit the help of parents (which is normally easy with this group of parents, but not this time). You also need to purchase the supplies you will need: soap, sponges, rags, oak tag (for signs), cases of water (for the boys and to sell). You have to make flyers and then beg businesses to hang them in their windows (loads of fun there). It is just a ton of planning and I have NO co-mom to help. The co-mom that was suppose to train this year to take over is never around and has not returned my calls (this is not making me happy, grrrrr).

Anyway, it should be a good day. I think the boys will have fun and hopefully it will be profitable. I'm sure I will be taking ton's of photo's, so be prepared Monday. This is the flyer that I did to hang up in the store fronts. Nothing great, very simple I think.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday.

Four Things

2 peas challenge for today: Share four things about yourself that make you the person you are today as a creator/artist. Hmmmm this is a tough one for me. I really don't look at myself or talk about "ME", I always talk or think about my family, friends, and of course wrestling. So this is going somewhat out of the box for me. But here it goes.
1. I am BOLD! This allows me to try different things that I might not otherwise. It doesn't mean that I'm going to do it all the time, but I will try it at least once.
2. I am uninhibited (did I spell that right, hmmm) I pretty much do what I like. I don't have any real design in mind. I just look at what I'm working on and go with it.
3. I love COLOR! My favorites to work with lately are green, orange and reds. I don't really know why, but maybe it has something to do with fall.
4. I'm a PROCRASTINATOR. It could take me hours, days, weeks, months even years to finish a layout. If it is not right I leave it until something strikes me.
Oh well... that is all from me today. Have too much to do this morning. Hope everyone has a Wild Wednesday.

Looking Good At 50!

Yep.... dh Danny turned 50 yesterday! I think he is still looking good for 50! I hope I still look good at 50 shoot. We had a very pleasant day yesterday. It was nice and quite. DJ and I went to pick up his gifts, which took over an hour. The kids wanted to get him an Olympic weight bench and weight set. It was something that he was talking about for the last few weeks so they jumped on it. The only problem is that Danny was not expecting anything like that and didn't have any room to put it in the garage. The longest part (the bar) is 7 ft long! Ohhhh well. I think he is looking forward to working out a little every day. We know that DJ is! lol He was drooling all over this thing.

Saturday, the kids and I went to the pumpkin farm. It was packed and I have to tell you that I was shocked at the price a lb. they were getting for those pumpkins! It costs a small fortune to get 4 pumpkins! It was 65 cents a pound! That is highway robbery! Not only that, but you could tell that the farm owners placed all the pumpkins in this field, it was not the actual field that they were grown in. Needless to say, my kids were pissed off about that. Hello.... I told them... they are not kids anymore, but they were still pissed. I guess next year they will be going out East for them in the real fields.

So later Saturday night, Danny and I were left alone and still did not eat. We decided to take a ride and then we would stop for dinner somewhere along the way. As we were driving we passed this street farm that had TON's of pumpkins out! I could've sworn I saw a sign that said 19 cent's a pound. We turned in and sure enough it was! So yes... we got some more pumpkins and our 4 pumpkins cost 40.00 less then the pumpkins we got at the farms and I think they were much nicer! Amazing! Then we drove around for about an hour and we stopped at this place called The Bulldog Grille. We've never been there. It looked really nice. We were somewhat hungry so we were staying no matter what, but the food was not the greatest. Service was great though. That will be the last time we go there. After that we came home to an empty house and sat and watched "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Jude Law. I really loved this movie! It is more of a chick flick, but Danny thought it was cute. Then the kids starting flowing in of course near the end of the movie and they all wanted to know what we were watching. I'm now at the point... don't interupt my movie near the end mode. You will have to find out everything after this movie has ended I tell them. They are too much, my kids!

Well, that is the weekend in a nutshell! I pretty much got nothing done in the house that I really wanted to, but that is too bad and there is all this week for me to procrastinate some more.
Thats it for me today. I have to get moving and get to work, ugh! Hope everyone has a Marvelous Monday!

Scrapping Plans?

2 peas challenge for today:
Any big scrapping plans for the weekend?
I can say.... NO. I've been dying to get down in that room and at least try to clean it up a little, but to no avail. Something always stops me. I'm not sure what it is lately, I just don't want to go down in the dungeon and clean. Hmmmm who cleans a dungeon? Can I hire them? I wonder how much they charge. It might be well worth it though this way it is just done. I wonder if I can apply for that show Clean Sweep! Once wrestling season starts in just 5 short weeks I'll hardly ever get down there. As a matter of fact I have almost 500 photos of DJ last year that I still have not put into albums. I really have fallen behind. I just need to make a plan and stick to it. Easier said then done.

Yesterday was my day at Remicaid. So much fun. As usual I was the last one to get done. It was 8:30pm and I was going to fly home so I didn't miss Grey's last night.
What did everyone think of Grey's? I thought it was pretty good. I just loved that "Really Old Guy" aka Charlie woke up and new everything that was going with them all. He was so funny with Izzy. I loved that Derek yelled at Mark and Chief and told them that they were old and should not have done that surgery. How about Miranda helping out Callie? I think they would be a good team. Callie is soft and Miranda is tough. And I'm so glad that Meredith caught on about Cristina faking that she is soooo sad with the woooo is me trick, she is back to her normal self. I was a little upset with the end... I think Alex was just plain mean to George! That was not nice at all. He didn't need to do that. I was a little happy that George told Callie that he slept with Izzy though. I'm looking forward to next week.

Now as for Big Shots last night... I only got to watch about 1/2 of it before passing out cold from the IV treatment. I'm going to have to finally break down and get the DVR box from Cablevision. I just hate that I have to disconnect this one and then reconnect the new one. Its a big pain in the butt. So did anyone watch Big Shots last night that can catch me up fromt he re-bachelor party when he left with the blonde and she pulled out all the condoms? I'm going to check ABC and see if I can watch it there. I doubt it, but it can't hurt to try.

For tonights viewing pleasures... I'm looking forward to my Men in Trees premiere tonight. There is also another new show starting tonight starring I think Angie Harmon, just can't remember the title... something Womens Murder Club, this looks interesting.

Ok... nothing else to report here. I've got a lot to do today hopefully I won't fall asleep before I get it all done. Have a great day and weekend.

Raccoons or Squirrels?

Well this is the ultimate question for this morning. Late last night or should I really say about 3am this morning Lacey (our dog) jumped off the bed and ran to the window. Now she normally never jumps off the bed unless someone just came home or someone or something is in front of the house. All of a sudden I start hearing this unbelievable animal screeching. It was in the tree in the front and to be honest I'm not sure if it was 2 squirrels or a raccoon after a squirrel. This lasted for about a minute and was making Lacey crazy! She was barking like crazy and kept running from the room to the back door like she had to get out there. I finally let her out the back so she could see that they were gone, but she insisted on barking anyway. Eventually I was able to get her back in the house, but she kept a vigil at the window for about another 30 mins. which kept me up. With that I didn't get back to sleep until 5:30am! The fun just never ends here. Something exciting with every twist and turn!

2 peas challenge for today:
Are you a person who will go out of your norm to try something new at least once. Or stay with that your comfortable with?
I think that I mostly stay in my comfort zone in most cases. I have and will try something new a lot of times, but then I just go back to what I'm comfortable with. I think that I'm a creature of habit.

Thats it for me today. I have work (which they keep cutting my hours, I'm not happy about that)today 10-1. Why bother I think sometimes. Then later I'm going for my IV treatment. I hope this one really kicks in. The last one really didn't work that great. Other than that nothing much is going on.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday.

William Tell Overture

This is absolutely the best thing I've heard in a long time. Enjoy and I hope you brings a smile to your face because it did to mine!

So much to do......

and NO energy to do it! I have been like this since the middle of the summer. I don't know what is going on but it is kill me. My entire house really needs to overhauled. I know I should just do it in little spurts (that's what others say) so that I am not overwhelmed, but I really don't even want to do that.

My plan for this weekend was to clean my scrap area. Well.... I never even stepped foot down there this entire weekend. Yesterday I really did nothing. I went to a small craft show, which was really horrible. Nothing really exciting or motivating to be honest.

I did however find a wonderful candle booth which is operated by a husband and wife and they make soy candles. The scents are just wonderful. I bought 3 small candles in 3 different scents, but I have to say that my favorite scent was the Banana Nut Bread! Unfortunately, they did not have any of that scent in the size that I was buying. Oh well... I did however get Montauk Breeze, Kiwi Strawberry, and Pomegranite Passion. Very nice scents! I also found out that they are going to start to do parties and they do fund raisers (which I am very interested in).

Today I am doing all the laundry! This is no small task in this house and I've decided to get motivated a little and at least clean the entire bathroom from top to bottom (since no else is going to do it in this house). This will be another challenge for me today since I'm still not sleeping good and in quite a bit of pain still! But it needs to be done. I'm taking baby steps!

Ok.... So on that note I better get my behind moving here and get some stuff going. I'm on my 2nd load of laundry so that is a start. Hope everyone is having a terrific weekend.

TGI-Friday!

This is how I feel this morning! Again, I really didn't sleep last night and was sadly in quite a bit of pain all night. I could not figure out why I was in so much pain, then this morning I get up and as the sun is trying to break through I notice that it must've rained some last night and apparently there is a ton of humidity here today. Well.... by golly that would explain all my pain. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I got up last night to just walk a bit and hopefully it was going to make it better (it didn't btw). What I really should've done was when I got up at the 4am time I should've just hopped in for a really nice hot bath, but no.... I didn't do that. Live and Learn.

Ok... enough about my sleepnapea, moving on to the Thursday night shows! What did you think of Greys last night? I thought it was great. I think my favorite part was when Dr. Bailey started hitting Alex and then he said Thank You to her. That was great. I'm not sure if I like the whole idea of Callie losing it sooooo soon in the season. I don't know where George and her are going to end up, but it is obvious that he loves Izzy. I think Meredith is being very mean Lexi (the half sister). I mean really, this poor kid didn't even know she had an older sister, they've both been wronged by the father. I really thought that Derek was going to break up with her also last night, but that didn't happen, in a way I'm glad. I'm sure that I missed some other highlights, please feel free to add them in the comments.

Now, this new show BIG SHOTS just has me rolling. It is pretty funny. I really love the writing on this show. If you have not watched it yet, you really need to. If you have not seen it yet and want to know what its about click here: Big Shots - Home - ABC.com It is one of my new fav's!

Now 2 peas challenge: What are your scrappin plans for the weekend? I really don't have any plans, but I do know that if the weather (and the pain) are good, I'm going down there and trying to get it all cleaned and organized! This has got to happen soon. I can't stand looking at it any more.
That's it for me.... Ohhh btw- if you missed Pushing Up Daisies and/or Private Practice on Wednesday I heard that they are re-showing them tonight so check your local listings.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and a terrific weekend!

Somethings Wrong?

Here it is 3am and I can't sleep. I don't know what it is for the past week or so, but I will usually fall back to sleep about 5am and then I have to get up by 6:30am to get Joseph out the door (he can't function in the mornings, me either lately!). Then I stay up because if I go back to sleep for that hour or so... I can not get moving when its time to. Its almost like having a hangover, but I didn't get to have fun or a drink for that matter. I go to work until usually 2 (even though now they are screwing up everyones schedules and making cut backs, how do you cut back someone who only works 25 hours a week?) and by 3pm I'm usually crashed out across my bed for at least an hour nap. This is not normal! I'm usually a very busy person and have tons of energy. Not lately though. And then add that I haven't been sleeping good either at night, my world is crashing.

I did mention all this to my doctor who still believes that it is depression. I was taking a medicine and I have to tell you that it made me feel worse than before. I slept all the time during the day and at night was sleeping , but was not comfortable and woke up really late and with the hangover affect. Plus, I gained almost 20 lbs in 2 months from this crap! What is that all about. I wasn't even eating really. I had no appetite. So we finally convinced my prescription plan to give me the medicine that my doctor first wanted me on. Lets see how this goes. It can't hurt to try at this point. I will be starting it tomorrow (this morning). I know that it does take time to kick in, but I'm hoping (crossing my fingers) that this one works. I really don't like taking all this medicine. Maybe that is why I constantly have heartburn and acid reflux. I'm about to give up real soon with all the meds and just take nothing, but I really do know what will happen (done this before) and ended up in the hospital and spending 2 years in a wheel chair.

Ok... on to some good stuff! Did anyone see Private Practice last night? I cried at the end. This was a very sad situation. I think this show may be a keeper. I love how strong Madison is. Now I have to say I did put on the new show Pushing up Daisies, but didn't really get to watch it all. I'm not really sure about this show. It was a little weird to say the least. Then I was in full focus (well most of the time, when Joseph wasn't bothering me) on Dirty, Sexy, Money! I really love this show. All the little twists and turns. Very interesting to see what is going to happen next. I would have to say this is a Must Watch Show. Now again I have not gotten the DVR from cable company yet... so I kept switching inbetween Private Practice and Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey! I just love this show and again he was right out here on Long Island! I can't wait to visit this restaurant.

I have not scrapbooked in days now... still trying to figure out how to get the little area I have down in the basement (with all dh's stuff thrown all about, and did I mention all the dust, cobwebs and who knows what else) cleaned up and organized. I really have to work on this this weekend.

Ohhh well............ I've rambled on forever, ok... 18 mins actually, but that is enough of your precious time. Go on... get out of here and have today.

Where do you go?

The 2 peas challenge for today is: When you are stuck and need some inspiration. Where do you turn? I know that there are so many places to turn to, but truthfully, I always turn to my 2 peas blogging friends. You guys are always supportive and constantly inspiring me with new ideas. I will also take a little carpet ride through the 2 peas gallery to see what others are creating. It is really amazing at what you will find there. There is so much creativeness there, sometimes it just kicks my creative juices into high gear. Then I just hope for the best.

Other inspiration comes from my sister. Since we web cam almost every day and she is a scrapper also we always bounce ideas off each other. We also share every single one of our pictures so we know what photo(s) we are working on at the time. Sometimes its a little weird, because all of sudden we are telling the other what photos we are doing and we picked the same photos. Then we decide not to show each other what we are doing with them and give a time frame to be completely done and then we show our creations. Its really fun. We have pretty different styles so its nice to see the photos that you are working on in a different lo.

I will also go through some magazines and books for some inspiration. But the first 2 are my main helpers, lol.

TV this week so far.....
House: Ok... I don't know about any of you, but I just kept lol last night with House. I just loved this episode this week. Now for anyone that watched...... Is the one guy (who looks of Indian decent) Bug from Crossing Jordan. He just looks and sounds a lot like him. I could've also sworn that I saw the guy from Men in Black.... the pawn shop guy who grows his head back. Ok.. maybe I'm losing it. If you watched... what did you think? I really loved it. He was very witty again, harsh, and mean sometimes, typical House. I loved the scenes when Chase, Cameron, and Foreman come walking in slow motion. Then the scene when he does surgery and Chase is in the observation room and gives the diagnoses. That was priceless! I'm also glad that he "Fired" those twins (boring) and that other girl (with the accent) at the end. I really didn't care for her.... too snooty if you ask me. I was a little surprised that he kept the plastic surgeon and that blonde girl, but we will see what happens next week.

Has anyone gotten to watch this new show Cane? Staring Jimmy Smits. It is pretty good. It is much different than what I expected, but it is getting very interesting and I'm wondering where it is going to end up going. It is basically about 2 families, one is from the town they are in (somewhere in FL, I think, very southern state) and the other family came over from Cuba and planted themselves right there in the town on many acres of land and started a sugar cane farm. Which the other family also owns a sugar cane farm, but does not like the Cuban family and for many years has tried to get rid of them with numerous things (like killing the youngest daughter and never getting caught). Apparently, Jimmy Smits was adopted by the Cuban family many years ago when he was a young boy and actually seen one of the men who worked for the other family kidnap the little girl, but no one every believed him because that family is very prominent in the community. Now Smits has grown up and married the daughter of the Cuban family, how weird is that. The Cuban father (you know him I just can't think of his name... Hector something or nother) decides he is going to retire and give each of his 3 kids 30% of the business and Smits gets 10% giving him full control of the company. Now a family feud is going on. It gets even more interesting. If you go here you might be able to get a better idea of what I'm talking about since I'm just rambling on. Cane on CBS.com - Home

Ok... that is it for me today... I hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Ok ladies..... It is that time of the year again. Yep... Time to get the girls checked out if you have not done so already. I actually had mine done back in February. That is usually a less hectic time for me and the mammo places are not as packed. So please ... if you have not gone this year yet, try to get there this month. Remember, It can save your life.

Now, I have been a slacker with doing the 2 peas challenges, so this one I decided to do today.
When doing a layout, do you chose to mat or not mat your photos? Well, honestly it depends on the photos and how I am planning on doing the actual layout. Sometimes I love to mat and other times I just want to finish the darn page and get it over with (as sad as that sounds). Now that I think about it... I will usually mat most of the photos though. There are a few layouts that I did not.

Now... I don't remember where I got this little blog thing below... it is something fun to do when you have nothing else really going on, but it sure is right on. I just answered the questions very honestly and to be honest I thought it was going to pop up with something in Colorado or like Montana somewhere. Its funny how some things work out and hopefully I will finally be there in 2 years for a very long time.

Movie Weekend

The weekend here was very pleasant and actually calm! No big explosions or too much drama to speak of. For me that is wonderful. The weather was perfect the entire weekend.

As for Saturday, I did the normal grocery shopping and then pretty much nothing else the rest of the day, but relax. It seems so long ago (ok.. 2 days) I can't seem to remember what I did exactly except the shopping. I'm sure I had to do other things but can't seem to remember. I think old age is finally kicking in here. This is not a good sign, not at all. I do remember web caming with my sister for probably 2 hours, but that's about it. Oh well,,,, maybe ds would remember for me.

Ahhhhh see... I just remembered something. DJ seemed to have a little relapse on Saturday. High fever and just exhausted. So I spent most of the day with him sitting in the livingroom watching movies! Fun. We actually watched one of my favorite older movies "Cutting Edge" it stars D.B. Sweeney and Moira Kelly. I just love that movie. DJ likes it because it has a lot of funny parts in it. I know we watched "The Illusionist" also. That was better than I thought it would be. DJ really liked that movie a lot.

Now as for yesterday... I did all the laundry which was 4 loads of wash, ugh! and then I really needed to clean all my scrapbooking stuff off the diningroom table. This was no easy task to say the least. I just don't enjoy being down in the dungeon any more. I think I'm going to have to re-vamp the downstairs especially the area that I'm in. DH has all his crap all over the place down there also, so its a big mess to say the least. And I don't think he every cleaned his area and now its rolling over into mine, especially when I don't get to go down their much anymore.

Now after all the cleaning and putting up the "gravy"(sauce) for dinner and making all the meatballs I decided I did enough for one day. And about 5 pm I went in my room and locked myself in there for hours! Just watching movies on TV. Lets see.. I watched Down to You with Freddie Prinze, Jr and Julia Stiles. Very cute movie. Then I watched The Prince and Me, again with Julia Stiles. After that one was The Prince and Me: The Royal Wedding, which I have to tell you I fell asleep watching it! So I could not even tell you how it was.

Today, I have work and really want to try to get myself downstairs and cleanup my area. I have no place to put anything anymore and it is just plain dirty down there right now. I can't stand it. It really is basically an un-finished basement with work benches all around. One side is mine and the other still belongs to DH which really shouldn't be.. he has a brand new garage for all his crap. I don't even have enough room to store anything down there really. It really stinks, but I need to make it work for now. So I might as well make it look good so I will want to go down there and work. Other than that nothing else is really going on for today.
I hope everyone has a Marvelous Monday!

Thursday Night Premieres!

Yep, it was the big night! Greys Anatomy premiere. I've been waiting for this one for weeks now. I have to say that I really enjoyed it. It was a little funny and a little sad. There seemed to be drama right from the beginning! Dr. Bailey is pissed off at the Chief and Callie, just love her strong attitude. McSteamy is trying to reach out and be friends with McDreamy again. Callie is just running around trying to be boss and no one likes it! George is back.... and an intern for the 2nd time. New little twist... Merediths 1/2 sister is a new intern and seems to want to get know Meredith. You've got to love Izzy... trying to (and does) save a deer and her 4 interns don't like her, yet. Alex is in love with Ava/Rebecca, which I think we all knew except him. And then we have Cristina who seems to miss Burke and is being herself.

Now, I decided to stay away and take the little adventure of watching the new show Big Shots! I have to say that they have a pretty good cast. I really enjoyed the show. It had saddness, love, stupid funny, and some drama. It revolves around 4 men, their lives, family, and jobs. I can't wait to see what happens next week to be honest.

I still need to get the DVR box for my cable, not that I would've used it last night. I would only watch those 2 shows, nothing else really calls me. It seems though that Wednesday night is my big problem right now, which just seems weird. Again, I'm not usually a big TV person, but all of a sudden I am. I don't think I really watch anything on Monday, Tuesday is House for me, and then there is Wednesday, I want to watch Private Practice, Dirty Sexy Money, and Kitchen Nightmares. Then of course I have Thursday with Greys and Big Shots for now. I'm not even sure what comes on Fridays ---Hoping its Men in Trees, I just love that show. That is it for me.

Ok... I have to get myself up and moving this morning. Hope everyone has a Wonderful day and Weekend if you don't come back til' Monday.

An All New Season!

OH yeah! It is here. The long awaited season premieres! I have to say that I'm going to have to bring the cable box in and get the DVR one. I am missing way too much already!
I watched Private Practice (the spin off from Grey's) I really enjoyed it, but I have to say I missed a few tidbits here and there because I kept switching back to Fox for the Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey! How dare they both be on at 9pm!
Then I have to say I was reluctant about viewing the new show that came on after Private Practice. It is called Dirty Sexy Money! Well.... I really was glued to the TV! I just loved it. Sutherland was terrific in this. I think I could be hooked on this one. I can't wait until next week!
Then I needed to switch over and watch Top Chef. We are down to the final 4! I was still hoping that Hung was going to be sent home, but it was not to be again! ugh. Unfortunately, Brian (sorry, if you didn't watch) was sent home. Dale actually won one finally and I was so happy for him. I'm not really sure who I want to win out of Casey and Dale, but I do know that I really don't want Hung to win.
Now to change the subject and I would like to just Thank You to everyone again for all their "Well Wishes" and Prayers. I know that we will overcome this and DJ will be back next year stronger and more determined to kick butt. I think God has a plan and hopefully it is one that will be carried out.
Ok.. I hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday!

Medical Update!

Again... I have to Thank everyone who visited here and wished DJ luck and prayers. You all have made this path that we are taking much easier for us.

Ok... we went to the specialist. He was very nice and very informative. I could not believe how much time he spent explaining everything to us. Danny of course was not in his element and just couldn't sit still (ladies, it gets worse when they turn 50 apparently). DJ was staring at him like he was a nut! But that is how Danny gets when he is nervous.

Anyway.... DJ does indeed have Epstein Barrs disease, which he will host for the rest of his life. Also, according to the blood work.... he had full blown Mono about 2 weeks ago and it is now leaving. Apparently, DJ can get a flair up (if that is what you want to call it) at any time. It would really flair if he is in contact with someone who is really sick even with just a flu bug. Like one of his bf's who had mono 3 weeks ago! Epstein Barr is like a parent of mono. It also goes hand and hand with any time of herpes (ie: cold sores, chicken pox, shingles) you get the picture. He will be fine in a few weeks, he just needs to take it easy. The dr thinks he is also having a very bad allergy season which can enhance the Epstein Barr, so he gave him the Z pack. DJ can get continue to get really sick and often if he doesn't take good care of himself for up to 2 years! It can take Epstein Barr 2 years to go into remission. Hopefully that won't happen and it will be much sooner.
I had to get him withdrawn from college yesterday also. It was very sad. He was upset and so was I. He has been looking so forward to this and wrestling for this school now that is over until next year. As long as he is feeling well, he is going to start up again in the spring. But wrestling season for college is over in March. Oh well.

Well, by the end of the evening I was too exhausted from all the running around (that campus is huge) that I did not do any scrapbooking. I sat and watched the first 1/2 of Dancing with the Stars (I just love that model-I think his name is Alex Reed, very cute and funny)then of course I headed over to Fox channel for my new season of HOUSE! Just gotta love him. I can't wait for next week, but I have to say that I miss old team! This is going to be something new and exciting for us all.

2 peas challenge for today: How often do you meet with friends to scrap? Do you wish it could be more? I have to say that most of normal friends do NOT scrap! I do however get together with some ladies usually once a month for a little crop which is great, but this summer I was not feeling good and soooo many things going on that I really didn't get there for probably 3 months. I couldn't wait to see everyone a few weeks ago. It was nice catching up.

Ohhh well.. I guess I need to get my behind moving here today. Have to be at work in 1 hour. The fun is just about to begin! Have a great day!

What Accent do you have?

First, I have to say Thank You to everyone that sent get well wishes our way for DJ. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this infectious disease doctor has something for us today. I will update everyone tomorrow or hopefully later on today.

What American accent do you have? (Best version so far)

Northern

You have a Northern accent. That could either be the Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland/Buffalo accent (easily recognizable) or the Western New England accent that news networks go for.

Personality Test Results

I saw this little quiz on Colleens blog and just had to do it. I thought it was very cute, but couldn't understand how it came up with Northern for me. I grew up in Southern Florida and moved to New York (Long Island) when I was 19 years old. I will tell you though, when I visit FL, my southern twang comes right back. It is almost scary. Sometimes I wonder who is talking for me.

Some scrapping news. I was able to complete this layout of my 3 sons. I love the way it came out (except for the title, it needs something still). My camera (really dd's, because mine is still broken!)really didn't capture this layout the way it really looks and I used bling bazzill paper to journal on so it is hard to read hence the photo of the actual journaling which is still difficult to read. The first photo gives you a good idea how it looks, but the second has true color. I love that blue paper.
Ok... I must get myself going now. I hope everyone has a terrific day!

Some more DRAMA!

Yes, it never ends here! For all of you who follow my blog and pretty much everything that goes here is some more for you.
We got back DJ's blood work finally that he took on Wednesday. He has sever Ebstein Barr Disease and Mono. He is devastated. Because he just can't continue with school this semester. He is exhausted all the time. He keeps getting fevers. Its pretty bad this time to where the dr. is sending him now to an Infectious Disease dr. If any of you remember back to Christmas time last year... he just had mono. That wiped him out for 4 full weeks. And to be honest... even longer. We were trying to figure out how to get him to school and to classes, but it just won't work. He has many classes and he is just not functioning at all. This poor kid has not even gone to the gym in almost 2 weeks because he is so weak and tired. Also, very bad sore throat, and swollen glands. I keep wondering "WHY?" Why him. He is the one kid that tries so hard, works so hard and has the most determination out of all my kids. Hopefully, he will get better soon.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Fall?

2 peas challenge for today: With it being the first day of fall. Do you have fall decorations up? I can honestly say NO! I do not have any decorations up. I really don't decorate for fall, not really sure why I don't, but I just never did. Maybe its because I grew up in FL and you really don't get fall weather until about Christmas, lol. I really don't decorate for any season. I just don't have the power in me to put up decorations and take them down. Plus, if you saw the size of my home you would be like how the hell can she live in such a small space with a husband, 3 kids (was 4), and a dog! We have no storage space at all in this house and did I mention... NO CLOSETS! My house was a summer bungalow many moons ago and the homeowner never added closets. For that matter, I'm lucky I've got a bathroom! Ohhhh... and did I ever mention that I really hate my house!

Ok... changing the subject now.... I have been scrapping a little lately. I'm doing about 1 page a night (notice I said about). I'm just having a little trouble journaling. As soon as I get the journaling done I will post them. I think they are pretty nice, if I do say so myself.

Well.... I've got to jump in for my shower and get to work. I got a late start this morning. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

You Don't Know Me

Ok... I was tagged again, this time by Heather. This tag was pretty simple: List 5 things that you don't know about me.
  1. Growing up in my early years my parents decided to purchase 10 acres of land and move us all out to the boonies. A little town called Fort Drum which was about 40 miles away from the "Big" city Okeechobee (and you thought you had problems) The nearest school was a 40 mile hike everyday to Okeechobee. Even with all that, That is the place I really do miss. The wonderful wildness of it all. We had our own little farm which we grew our own veggies and raised our own food. We also had many pets! At one time we had 7 dogs, 13 puppies, an armadilo, 7 peacocks, and 4 horses, oh and I'm sure there was a few snakes in there also. We also had 100's of chickens, some were just for eggs and some were well for dinner. We also had our own pigs. If I could go back in time, I think it would be there. It was just so much fun.
  2. Since I was so young growing up on this farm and having two younger brothers (one is just 9 months younger, the other is 23 months younger) I had to be tough and my mom wouldn't let me be a normal prissy girl. YES! I was the biggest Tomboy. I would beat up all the boys and they would call me Jane (Jane of the Jungle). My brothers hated that I was always competing with them and their friends.
  3. I do not like driving in regular cars! I love SUV's or Conversion Vans. The higher the better. I love to look down at the little cars and I love to be able to look over and in front of most vehicles. I will say though that in my 20's I did have a normal car, several as a matter of fact, and my favorite car to this day is my Dodge Challenger!
  4. My best friend is Sandy, and we've been best friends since 1976 which totals up to 31 years! She lives in NC now and of course I'm here in NY. I was the first one to leave FL. I even lost her for a few years and then I found her. We know each other like a book.
  5. I really love to travel (even though I really haven't done much of that). My dh does not like to travel! I can't even get him to leave the house most of the time unless it is somewhere local. I would love to see Niagra Fall's and visit all the National Parks! Then I would really love to go to Europe. Its a dream right now, but who knows... maybe some day it will become a reality.

That just 5 little things you didn't know.

I hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday!

As Promised

here they are.... 2 of the lo's I did this weekend. I took these photos up in my dining room and the lighting in there is not the greatest to take photos. The walls are kind of golden and well... it glows. I did take a photo of one other layout, but I really didn't like the way the photo came out so I have to retake it.

This first lo is of my wonderful niece Alley. This photo was taken right after she decided to cut off over 10 inches of her hair and donate it to Locks of Love! My niece is incredible. She really is very giving. I just love her spirit. So this is Alley sporting headbands for the first time with her new short hair style. The next lo is of ME! This is going to be the first page of my "All About Me" album. I decided I really should do one. I really think it will be fun and something exciting to do. Like I said many times before.... I don't have many photos of myself so this will be a challenge and I really don't have many of me from my youth because they were lost during a move many years ago. This is going to be a very interesting album that is for sure. I just want my kids and their kids and so on and so on... to know how I was, have a feel for things that I enjoy and love and I'm also going to put a family tree in it. Something they can look back on one day. 2 peas challenge for today: Have you every applied/submited to be on a designs team? I will be honest and say that I have never applied/ submited to any design teams! I don't feel that my work is design team material at this time. I love what I do for me and really don't care about being on a DT. Maybe one day down the road that will change, but for now, I'm very happy the way things are right now.
Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday!

Where do I scrap?

The 2 peas challenge for today:Share with us fellow pea's were we do are creating. If you have pictures of your scrap area post them. Feel free to add why you have your area in a certain area of the house. I scrap down in my basement. I call it the dungeon. It is a little dark and cold down there and a complete mess, because dh still has a ton of his crap down there in the way. He never cleans a things so there is dust all over his section. It is not where I really want to be, but it will have to do for now since there is no room anywhere else in my house for me to go. Blogger is acting weird and won't let go to another paragraph, I don't know why this always happens to me, but it does! I went to a crop on Friday night and then Saturday afternoon and had a great time but as usual got nothing really done. I did get 4 lo's set up now I just need to finish the journalling. I can't believe I got nothing done again. Hopefully, I will get my camera fixed or borrow my dd's and take some photos of my finished lo's later on today.
Hope everyone has a terrific day.

Ahhh Remicaid

Yes, last night was time for my infusion. I couldn't wait to be honest. The weather here was so bad for awhile that it did its damage to me. Hopefully the Remicaid will kick in fast.Of course, my infusion took forever and I was the first one hooked up! I didn't get done until 8:40pm that is a long time to be sitting from 4:30pm. As soon as I got home I went to bed. Did I mention it is a 40-45 min drive. I was exhausted. Oh well.

Tonight, I hope I feel up to it. I have a crop and cocktails and then tomorrow we do crop and lunch! Much fun with just a few friends. I can't wait. Hoping to get some things done. Ok. that is it for me today. Have a great day.

The Whole Gang!

Many of you have asked several times what ds Jonathon looks like. Well... he is the only child that I can actually say looks just like me ( I think anyway). Since he lives soooo far away, it's hard to take photos of him like I do the others. So, I got us all together Monday night and we took some shots. I'm not really thrilled with any of them, but they will have to do.
We took these photos right after coming home from the movies. Of course before we left for the movies I was going to change my shirt to something black not even realizing that all the kids were in black also. But I didn't because I was lazy. Then while were started to take the pictures I realized that I was the only one not in black so quickly changed to take some more photos. I know I'm a little nuts. I really want to go and have professional photos done of us all, but it is so hard.
So, this photo is from L-R: Joseph, Danny, DJ, Lacey, Me, Shannon, and Jonathon. I think it came out ok. I look like hell, but hey... it was late and I was not really trying to impress anyone. I just through my hair up in a pony before we went to the movies and thats the way it stayed.
Next is Jonathon and DJ.
Then you have Joseph (doesn't he just looked thrilled! I get the same expression from him in just about every photo!), Jonathon, and DJ.
Here I am with my 3 son's. Isn't DJ just hysterical? They all kill me.
And then another group photo and of course I got pushed and almost fell. ugh. Well.. That's my family.

Jonathon, made it home safely last night and on time! Of course, he didn't call me to tell me that. I called him and said (when he answered the phone) "I guess you are ok, you answered the phone" he was like ohhh yeah I forgot to call you. I just said of course you did Jonathon, I'm only your mother. He just laughed. I said ok your alive, I'm going to bed now. Love ya. bye.

Well that is about it for me. I am trying to work on some lo's. One for the " This is me" journal blog challenge and the " All about Me" challenge. I'm looking forward to getting those finished. As soon as I do I will post them.

Hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday.

A Night at the Movies!

Since tonight is Jonathon's last night here, we really wanted to do something as a family. It was a tough decision. Most of us really wanted to take the boat out and go crabbing, but the weatherman said that we were going to get rain. So we decided to go to the movies instead. Now the hard part. What movie??? The kids and I really love to watch a comedy, but Danny (odd man out) won't see a comedy and will only see something with action and violence anything with a mafia would make it even better. Tough decisions. I really wanted to go all together. Then Danny was like " well, you guys go to what you want and I'll go to what I want". I ended up talking the kids into going to something that was more Danny's style. I picked "WAR" with Jet Lei and that Aussie guy from the Italian Job (can't remember his name). Perfect! So I tell Danny that we all decided to see War which was right up his alley. He turns to me and says.. well... I'm really not into seeing Jet Lei. I almost died. I couldn't believe it. Now he is thinking about going to see Death Sentence starring Kevin Bacon. I really didn't want to see that. I eventually talked Danny out of seeing that and coming with us to see War.

The movie was really good. Lot's of action, killing and a twist here and there. It really kept you on your toes. I'm not really into a lot of bloody movies with a lot of Karate and stuff like that, but this was very good. It also had some subtitles that you had to keep up with. I think I would give it a C+ grade, possibly a B-. The ending could've been a little better, but the movie was really action packed.

So, my Jonathon is going home tomorrow afternoon. I'm sad to see him go. I miss him so much, but he does have a life and really has nothing here. I'm already looking forward to hopefully getting out there in November sometime. That will be nice.

2peas challenge for today:Share something you miss having from when you were a young child growing up. I really miss a lot of things. I'm weird like that. But I truly miss talking with my grandfather. I miss him so much. He would love to talk and teach us stuff. I would always just sit there and soak it up. We were very close. My grandmother said we were glued at the hips when I was little.
I also miss my horses! Growing up in FL and on a farm we had a little bit of everything (except cows!). I miss my horses. I loved to ride, I felt free when I was on one of the horses. What do you miss???

I hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday and Hopefully I will be able to upload some of the photos from tonight.

Surprise!

We had a very small Surprise party for Danny on Saturday. Only very close family and a handful of his closest friends. He does not like surprises and parties! So I really had to keep this low key. Plus, as some of you may know, he is kind of like a hermit crab. He never wants to leave the house. So about a month ago he was telling our handful of friends that we were going to have an end of summer party on Sept. 8th and I just went around and told everyone I am just going to surprise him since it is a month before his actual 50th birthday he will never guess it. Which he didn't, and yes, he was very mad at me for doing that. It was a perfect time to do this since his closest friend leaves next weekend back to FL. and I really wanted him and his wonderful wife to be here.
Well, the weather was a little on the humid side, but nice. I of course cooked way too much food. We had a 3ft Hero (that I made), salads, baked ziti, sausage & peppers, eggplant rollatini, homemade baked mac & cheese, and jambalaya. OMG, I'm happy to say everything came out excellent.

We pretty much partied until about midnight and then I started the clean up. With my close friend Josephine we got it done in no time. She is a clean freak and as we all know... I am not! lol
I wish I would've remembered to take photos earlier in the day, but as luck would have it Shannon dropped MY camera the other and broke it. So we had to use her's and she couldn't find it until that evening. She kills me. I don't know why she was using my camera and not hers (maybe because she couldn't find hers) but I'm so mad now that I've got to take mine in to be repaired! That really pisses me off.

Ok... Here is a photo of me and Danny. I know I look horrible, but hey, it was freakin' humid and I didn't put any make up on. Plus, I look like a fruit in that outfit. You would think someone would've said something to me!
Shannon and Danny hamming it up.

Danny's best friend Joel and his wife Marilyn.

Me and Josephine.
Steven(dd's bf), me, Shannon, and Danny. They were doing a shot and I don't do them but they wanted me in the photo. I don't know what they were thinking.
And here is Joseph with Danny.
This crazed person is my sil she is a nut and funny. She has Lacey wrapped around her neck and was telling everyone to look at her kill of the day! She really loves Lacey and boy does Lacey love her... or maybe Lacey loves her dog Sparky, shoot I forget.
Final picture for today, is DJ, Shannon and Danny.

A fun time was had by all. Once all the cooking was done and everything was out, it was a relaxing, fun evening.

Hope everyone has a great day!

The Hardest Part.

2 peas challenge: What is the type of thing you find the hardest to you on your layouts? And why do you have a hard time using it? For me it is just the simple fact that it takes me forever and a day to just get started! I don't know why, but I take forever to just think of what I want to do. I have the photos, paper, adhesive, embellies, I just can't seem to figure out what to do with it all. Most of the time, lol

He Made it!

I'm happy to say that for those of you that have been checking in this week, DJ finally made it to the college on time and without any mishaps! Yahoo. Miracles do happen.

So I asked him how his classes were today. Well the first one (which he missed on Tuesday due to getting lost) he sat down and it seemed like everyone got a supply list on Tuesday and everyone was prepared for class except him. What the heck. So guess what my wonderful son did. You've got it, he got up and left! This kid is going to kill me! He didn't even bother to say, excuse me, but I missed Tuesday due to an emergency or I got lost driving here, nothing. He just got up and left. The second class is English and he seemed to have no problem there. But then we come to that freakin' volleyball class (which, again, he missed on Tuesday) and he couldn't find anyone there in the assigned room. So you guessed it. He left! Instead of trying to find them, he walked to his car and came home! ugh. I think he is going to need to talk to his advisor! Like today. Thank goodness he has NO classes on Friday.

Apparently, Joseph had an ok day. As you might remember he tells me nothing. So I guess it was the same as Wednesday. I'm happy to report that I still have not gotten a call from the school asking where he is, this is a plus.

Now Shannon has taken off from work for the next few days so she can "party" with her older brother, Jonathon, who arrived from Las Vegas last night. What is this girl thinking. I swear I'm in a house full of misfits! or maybe it is me who is the misfit????? Hmmmm.... something to ponder. Well anyway, those two ended up going out after 11:30pm and didn't get home until 3:45am with McDonalds in hand.

This week has been so much fun! Can you feel the excitement??? And it is only going to get better with the little surprise party that I'm having for Danny tomorrow! Will this nightmare of a week ever end? I sure hope so. It can only start to get better I think, hope, pray. I'll try anything at this point!

I hope everyone has a terrific Friday! I've got a busy one that is for sure. I have work and then I have cooking and cleaning to do, plus finish up the grocery shopping for tomorrow. The fun just never ends, lol. Hopefully, I will have tons of photos to post by Monday.

The Drama Continues

Yes... the fun just never ends here. So Wednesday was DJ's 2nd day at college. He left the houe with plenty of time to get there and he actually knew what exits to take yesterday. He left here at 7am and his first class was at 8, enough time in my book. At 7:17 I get a phone call.... it's DJ calling (from the cell phone that he didn't want) to tell me that some lady just rear ended him on the parkway. I was like you are kidding right D? He laughed and said "mom... NO! I'm not kidding" I quickly ask if anyone was hurt and where he was. No one was hurt thank goodness, but then I hear a little chuckle in his voice and he says to me... mom you've got to see this ladys car. It's brand new, she got it 2 weeks ago. The whole front end it smashed. Now DJ has a huge GMC Surburban and the only damage he got was that the bumper was tilted down a little. So being 18 and never in an accident he didn't know what to do. I told him since there was little to no damage that we could see to his truck to see what she wanted to do. She was on the phone with her husband and with that I started to get dressed for my 30 min. drive to get to him. He calls me back to say that her husband said to call the police I was like that is fine that is really what you should do since she is going to need a tow truck to get her off the parkway. Then he calls me back to tell me that her cell phone won't call 911! I was like what? Every cell phone is suppose to call 911 no matter what. Thats its main purpose. The lady even made him try to call using her phone and all it did was beep. He didn't know what to do. I was like call 911 from your phone goofball. Kids.... When I arrived to the location of the accident the State Trooper was already there and in his truck filing a report. The lady was sitting in her brand new PT Cruiser Convertible that the front end was crushed. DJ was sitting in the passenger side of his truck just waiting. I checked to see if he was ok and he was and then he started making me lol. This kid has the strangest sense of humor. He just makes me laugh. Then he says "you know .. I was making damn good time today and I was going to make it to that first class!" He just kills me.. So day 2 was just as bad as day 1 except he actually went to his 2 math classes and got to sit down with the wrestling coach. Lets see what drama could possible happen today on his drive there.

As for Joseph's first day, I guess it went quite well. I get no information from that kid. Sometimes it's just better that way. I do know that he went to all his classes so that is a good start, but he did inform me that every other day he has study hall the period of the day and he won't be there. ugh.... When will this one finally move out of the house???? I swear if I had him first there wouldn't be any others. He is the poster child for birth control. My sister said that 16 years ago and it took her 10 years to finally decide to have child (thats because she moved away from him and didn't see him everyday, lol). I guess there is always going to be one.

Jonathon is flying in tonight at 11pm and I'm very excited. Its been 3 years since he's been home. I hope he is excited also.

Other than that,,, not too much going on here. Hope everyone has a terrific Thursday!

1st Day

Ok, so today was DJ's first day of college and just as I had expected....... he got lost going to the college and didn't make it to his class! ugh. You would think he would call someone, but NO! These kids today, I swear, I just don't know what to do with him. I offered to drive him there tonight so he would see how to get there and back home tomorrow, but he refused to go. Needless to say, I'm done with DJ tonight. He better not miss tomorrow's classes. Those are all his main classes!

Joseph's first day of 11th grade is tomorrow. I'm not sure I will be able to get on here until late in the day because he is so difficult in the morning. I hope this year starts off better than last year! He better not goof around this year. Joseph is my kid who just doesn't care about anything! I mean nothing at all. He doesn't care if he is late or even if he makes it to class. He doesn't care if he passes or fails. This kid just doesn't care! He really needs to get back into counseling, but again... fights me everytime. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get a call from the school the first day, lol.

I'm going to make this short and sweet tonight. I'm going to finish watching the US Open Tennis on the tv.
Hope everyone has an awesome Wednesday!

College

Today is DJ's first day of college. I think he is a little nervous, but he won't admit it. He has 2 classes today. First up is his Draw and Design class and then 2 hours later Volleyball. I still can't believe that a college has made it mandatory that they take a Phys Ed class! Hello, he is a wrestler for the school, going to be putting in 2 hours a day in practice. I just think it is stupid. DJ is a little pissed. He really doesn't like Volleyball and of course he didn't go to see if there was anything else that may have opened up that he would like. I told him he better go down and speak with the wrestling coach and see if he can change that class for him plus make it a little closer to his other class so he doesn't have 2 hours just sitting there.

I, of course, want him to leave a littler earlier than I would normally leave just so he has an idea on how long it is going to take him to get there. He is going with the traffic and it is brutual. I will take him about 45 min's. I think, plus, he has no clue where the buildings are on this campus. He makes me nuts. I also wanted him to drive there this weekend so he could see what it would be like... but no... I'm dumb. He'll learn the hard way. I'm usually right.

Joseph starts school tomorrow. Ohhh boy, I can't wait to see this. He has been in rare form the last few days. He decided to runaway Saturday afternoon, but apparently broke in the house and snuck down to his room to sleep. He then got up early Sunday morning and no one saw him for over 30 hours. I didn't say a word. DH told him that we called the police and had to report him missing. He doesn't like the rules here. I told him then leave. I'm too old to put up with his crap. I did it for dd. So needless to say, he is grounded again until the Sept. 15th. I think he got off easy. That was dh's doing. If I did the grounding this time, he would've been grounded until the end of the month. He always gets off easy. He just exhausts me!

Oh well,,, I've got to go and see if DJ has everything he needs for today. Hope everyone has a great day.

My Favorite Mix CD

Well.. believe it or not I actually finished another "This is Me" Challenge. I can't believe that I've been keeping up with this one. This one was about Your Favorite Mixed Tape/CD. So here is my take on this challenge. I know that it is a little hard to see everything on there. I know that my paper looks like it could be black, but its not.. Its navy. This is really a horrible scan. I might have to start taking photos of my work instead of scanning. The "MY" is actually in hot pink. The word "Favorite" I actually did little doodle dots on the "F,V,R, & T" and diagonal lines on the "A,O,I, & E. The doodling is done in a really bright orange. I drew some music notes on there and listed the songs that are on my Favorite CD:
1. Imagine 2. When I'm 64 3. The Boys are Back in Town 4. Knocking on Heavens Door 5. American Pie 6. He's not Heavy, He's my Brother 7. Brown Eyed Girl 8. Under the Bridge 9. Twist & Shout 10. Stand by Me 11. I Wanna Grow Old With You 12. Don't Stop Believing 13. Butterfly Kisses 14. Summertime Blues 15. After the Loving 16. You Were Meant for Me 17. Through the Years 18. In the Arms of an Angel 19. I Will Always Love You.

There you go. I hope everyone has a terrific Holiday weekend!
