Pumpkins?

Well as funny as it may seem the 2 peas challenge for today was: have you carved your pumpkins yet? If so did you take pics to make a layout.

Well as a matter of fact, last night we finally got around to carving some of our pumpkins! We had a lot of fun, but we are not finished yet. We even had Shannon's ex-bf stop over to carve a pumpkin since his family does nothing like that and we didn't want him to feel abandoned.
So let the photos begin!
First here are a few photos of Shannon and DJ cleaning out their pumpkins (and one of me, ugh)
This is dh Danny's pumpkin. He never carved pumpkins with us before, but really wanted to do one this year. So I think he did a great job (of course, I had to clean out his pumpkin because he is clueless).
Next is DJ, his pumpkin was HUGE! as you may have noticed in the previous photos of him cleaning it out. He carved a pirate ship into his. I really came out great. Of course I don't have a photo yet of it during daylight, but it glows really nice. Then here is mine. I didn't think it was going to turn out so good. The photos don't do it justice (mainly because of the flickering light). I think it is pretty scary. Here is Steven's (Shannon's ex). I really could not get a good photo of his I think it got to windy and he had it so close to mine so all that candle light flickering didn't help. His is very nice and he did it all free hand! It has a bat, a spider, and a girl on the side, plus he carved out MY LOVE on the top. Very nice. I will take day light photos today. Now as for Shannon's, she is not done! She is doing something that is so difficult, I can't believe her. I hope it stands up nice for her. She is working very hard on it. We were carving until almost 11pm last night.
Yesterday when I got home I had an envelope in the mail from Heather. Heather is so sweet. I could not believe it when I opened it to find 2 Cricut crayons and this adorable card she made. I had just recently read about the new Cricut crayons and was thinking of getting them for me and my sister. I can't wait to try them out.

Heather, Thank you again! This was such a wonderful surprise and thoughtful gift. You are really wonderful.

So my friends, I've bored the heck out of you all today. Come back tomorrow for more pumpkins! I will also have daylight photos of the ones already done.

Hope you all have a Terrific Tuesday!

Journaling?

2 peas challenge for today: Are you the type of person who thinks you need to have journaling on every layout you create?

I don't think that every layout needs to have journaling, but I seem to do it on just about all my layouts. It is weird, I feel if I don't journal that I will forget in time what actually happened on that day or that moment so I feel the need to journal so I won't forget the story. I think I have only 1 or 2 layouts that don't have any journaling on them.

I've seen many, many layouts that don't have any journaling on them and they are just beautiful and I say to myself "why can't I do that?" I just can't bring myself to do it. I want my kids, grandkids, and maybe even great-grandchildren to know the story behind the photos when I'm gone. I have inherited boxes full of photos that were my grandparents and no one knows who half the people are in them. It is actually sad, because I'm sure they are related in some way or another and we have no way of knowing for sure.

So there you have it, I journal because I feel the need to tell the story that someday no one will remember.

Hope you all have a Marvelous Monday!

Updates?

Well, today I find myself with nothing too new or exciting to talk about. So I decided to update everyone with what is going on here with everyone. My blogging friends are like family and know a lot of what goes on in my life so I figured I should keep you updated.
Lets see where to start?...... Danny (dh), has decided to continue to grow his hair out (which I hate btw), and thinks that it is straight (insert me lmao). Since turning 50, 2 weeks ago, he is going through a mid-life crisis. So the other day he decided to spray paint his entire truck black! Now I can't even tell you how many can's of spray paint he used, but it was a lot and he needed to go back for more.
Here is a photo of before:
Here is a photo of after: It looks nice I have to say. He did a pretty good job and it gave him something to do for 2 days!
As for Jonathon (24yo, ds) he is still living in Vegas. He loves it there. I'm very happy for him. He has a nice house and is perfectly happy with his life right now. He is finally starting to grow up and is calming down on the partying all the time and every night.
Now for Shannon, she has just recently broken up with Steven (bf of over 4 yr's). She has also quit her job at the bank and has decided to move back to Vegas! She leaves in less then 3 weeks! I'm so proud of her. She is finally standing up for what she wants and doesn't care what everyone else wants her to do. I'm very happy for her. This is something that I was hoping she would do a long time ago. She hasn't decided if she is going to live with my sister or ds Jonathon yet. Its a big decision for her. She is about to start a new and exciting life. She is looking forward to it.

ok.... where do I start with DJ? I think you all know him the best! This was my one kid that I never had to worry about and the most level headed of the group. He was always determined to get what he wanted and now that he had to quit school and can't wrestle this season I know that it really got to him. DJ lives to wrestle and workout. He has been back to gym the last 2 weeks since being sick and is doing sooooo much better, but the not being able to wrestle is killing him (and me for that matter). This is the first time in 14 years that he has not been able to wrestle. Now what do I do? Thank goodness I'm still the team mom.lol. Also, he is looking at getting rid of his Suburban and getting a different vehicle. He just kills me. He has gotten very lazy around the house also. It is a form of depression I'm sure, but he is giving me a run for my money lately. Now as for Joseph (16yo ds), this kid is making me gray and age faster than any other! All I can say, Is if he was child #1 there would not have been any others! He is constantly disobeying, angry at the world, doesn't want to do anything with his life, but hang out. DJ calls him a dirt-ball (don't ask). He is a gang wanna-be! Which scares the hell out of me. He is smoking and he lies about every single thing. Everything that comes out of his mouth is one big lie! He hangs out with the wrong people (most of the time). Lets just say that he is slowly killing me! I do have to give him kudos, because all of his teachers (with the exception of gym) have stated that he is doing wonderfully in their classes this year so far. This is a great improvement. Even last night.... I asked him to be home by 9:30 and he didn't bother to walk into the house until 10:15 with of course the excuse that he ran into a friend and was talking to him, but he was also already on his way home. Give me a break. He just likes breaking the rules and loves to see how far he can push me. Needless to say... grounded for the weekend, because I did tell him if he was not home by 9:30 he would be grounded for the entire weekend.

Ok... that is it for me today. Have to get moving here. Hope you all have a Fantastic Friday.

Working at the Car Wash!

Well as some of you know I had a Car Wash fund raiser for the Wrestling team on Sunday and I have to say it went pretty well. I think we could've done a little better, but given that the weather broke that day (it ended up being almost 80 in October in NY!) people headed off to the pumpkin fields or beach instead. I had 20 boys show up to help plus some parents and we raised $500. I think that was pretty good for our first time even attempting this sort of fund raiser. All the money is going towards reducing the cost of summer camp for whoever attends. I am hoping to also getting a bake sale in there in the next month and maybe a chinesse auction. As I mentioned previously, I forgot my camera so I have no photos of my own. Waiting for one mom who brought down her camera for a little while to give me photos as soon as I get them, I'll post them.

I've been tagged by Colleen:
1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
Colleens blog: Random Pondering
2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself (on your blog, we all want to know them).
1. I do not like the cold weather.
2. I can whistle like a man and I've been told that it is much louder than a mans!
3. I could sit in a hot tub for hours.
4. This is not my natural hair color (shoot! did I really say that?) I color it myself and it takes me almost 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. The color I use most often is LoReal's For Dark Hair Only- RED HOT
5. I was a catcher in softball for many years until a knee injury and then I played first base for 7 years. I even played on a major womens team at the age of 17.
6. I could eat ice cream everyday. (and usually do, lol)
7. I'm a tough love type of person. Kids today have most things handed to them on a silver platter. I saw a 16 year old the other day in his new BMW that his daddy gave him. What are we teaching our kids? My kids had to earn their first vehicle from me and let me say most of the vehicles were over 20 years years old or close to it when they got it. Not only that.... they have to pay their insurance on their vehicles also. Hello, I don't have an extra $3,000-$5,000. to spare.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

What Color?

you are deeppink
#FF1493

Your dominant hues are red and magenta. You love doing your own thing and going on your own adventures, but there are close friends you know you just can't leave behind. You can influence others on days when you're patient, but most times you just want to go out, have fun, and do your own thing.

Your saturation level is high - you get into life and have a strong personality. Everyone you meet will either love you or hate you - either way, your goal is to get them to change the world with you. You are very hard working and don't have much patience for people without your initiative.

Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation.

What were you doing?

The 2 peas challenge for today: What were you doing 10 years ago around this time? What were you doing 5 years ago around this time? What are you doing right now? What do you think you will be doing in the future?
Well for me about 10 years ago I know that I was camping. We would always go camping around this time (dh's birthday). The kids and dh always had a great time. I like camping, but I can no longer do the tent and sleepingbag thing. Lets not forget that normally at this time of the year it is usually pretty cold especially at night. I would sleep in my van on the bed and usually by 3am everyone else had mosey on in there also. 6 of us on the bed in the van, no room to turn thats for sure. On the way home we would stop off at the pumpkin farm out east and pick our pumpkins. That is the way it has been for many, many years.
What do I think I will be doing in the future? Hmmmm.... I'm not really sure. I do know that in 2 years from now I won't be here anymore (at least I'm praying that I won't be here in NY anymore). I plan on being in Las Vegas or close to there.

Thats it for me for today. I am just so tired the last 2 days. I think I over did it at the Wrestling Car Wash on Sunday, which I still need to write about. Can you believe that I forgot to bring my camera! I can't. I am so mad at myself. One of the other mom's brought down a camera for a little while and took a few photos so, I am waiting for her to send them to me. I will tell you all about that probably tomorrow. We had fun.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!

Getting Ready

We are getting ready for a Car Wash fund raiser for the Wrestling team. It is this Sunday and I'm happy to say that Applebee's was kind enough to give of the use of their parking lot and water. Hopefully the weather people are right and the weather is nice like they are predicting. I'm hoping that we will raise about $1,000. at this Car Wash. This will be a big help in sending the boys to camp this summer.

Planning a Car Wash is no easy task, let me tell you. You have to find a place that will allow you to do it first of all. Then you have to keep reminding the boys that they NEED to be there. Then you have to try to recruit the help of parents (which is normally easy with this group of parents, but not this time). You also need to purchase the supplies you will need: soap, sponges, rags, oak tag (for signs), cases of water (for the boys and to sell). You have to make flyers and then beg businesses to hang them in their windows (loads of fun there). It is just a ton of planning and I have NO co-mom to help. The co-mom that was suppose to train this year to take over is never around and has not returned my calls (this is not making me happy, grrrrr).

Anyway, it should be a good day. I think the boys will have fun and hopefully it will be profitable. I'm sure I will be taking ton's of photo's, so be prepared Monday. This is the flyer that I did to hang up in the store fronts. Nothing great, very simple I think.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday.

Four Things

2 peas challenge for today: Share four things about yourself that make you the person you are today as a creator/artist. Hmmmm this is a tough one for me. I really don't look at myself or talk about "ME", I always talk or think about my family, friends, and of course wrestling. So this is going somewhat out of the box for me. But here it goes.
1. I am BOLD! This allows me to try different things that I might not otherwise. It doesn't mean that I'm going to do it all the time, but I will try it at least once.
2. I am uninhibited (did I spell that right, hmmm) I pretty much do what I like. I don't have any real design in mind. I just look at what I'm working on and go with it.
3. I love COLOR! My favorites to work with lately are green, orange and reds. I don't really know why, but maybe it has something to do with fall.
4. I'm a PROCRASTINATOR. It could take me hours, days, weeks, months even years to finish a layout. If it is not right I leave it until something strikes me.
Oh well... that is all from me today. Have too much to do this morning. Hope everyone has a Wild Wednesday.

Looking Good At 50!

Yep.... dh Danny turned 50 yesterday! I think he is still looking good for 50! I hope I still look good at 50 shoot. We had a very pleasant day yesterday. It was nice and quite. DJ and I went to pick up his gifts, which took over an hour. The kids wanted to get him an Olympic weight bench and weight set. It was something that he was talking about for the last few weeks so they jumped on it. The only problem is that Danny was not expecting anything like that and didn't have any room to put it in the garage. The longest part (the bar) is 7 ft long! Ohhhh well. I think he is looking forward to working out a little every day. We know that DJ is! lol He was drooling all over this thing.

Saturday, the kids and I went to the pumpkin farm. It was packed and I have to tell you that I was shocked at the price a lb. they were getting for those pumpkins! It costs a small fortune to get 4 pumpkins! It was 65 cents a pound! That is highway robbery! Not only that, but you could tell that the farm owners placed all the pumpkins in this field, it was not the actual field that they were grown in. Needless to say, my kids were pissed off about that. Hello.... I told them... they are not kids anymore, but they were still pissed. I guess next year they will be going out East for them in the real fields.

So later Saturday night, Danny and I were left alone and still did not eat. We decided to take a ride and then we would stop for dinner somewhere along the way. As we were driving we passed this street farm that had TON's of pumpkins out! I could've sworn I saw a sign that said 19 cent's a pound. We turned in and sure enough it was! So yes... we got some more pumpkins and our 4 pumpkins cost 40.00 less then the pumpkins we got at the farms and I think they were much nicer! Amazing! Then we drove around for about an hour and we stopped at this place called The Bulldog Grille. We've never been there. It looked really nice. We were somewhat hungry so we were staying no matter what, but the food was not the greatest. Service was great though. That will be the last time we go there. After that we came home to an empty house and sat and watched "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Jude Law. I really loved this movie! It is more of a chick flick, but Danny thought it was cute. Then the kids starting flowing in of course near the end of the movie and they all wanted to know what we were watching. I'm now at the point... don't interupt my movie near the end mode. You will have to find out everything after this movie has ended I tell them. They are too much, my kids!

Well, that is the weekend in a nutshell! I pretty much got nothing done in the house that I really wanted to, but that is too bad and there is all this week for me to procrastinate some more.
Thats it for me today. I have to get moving and get to work, ugh! Hope everyone has a Marvelous Monday!

Scrapping Plans?

2 peas challenge for today:
Any big scrapping plans for the weekend?
I can say.... NO. I've been dying to get down in that room and at least try to clean it up a little, but to no avail. Something always stops me. I'm not sure what it is lately, I just don't want to go down in the dungeon and clean. Hmmmm who cleans a dungeon? Can I hire them? I wonder how much they charge. It might be well worth it though this way it is just done. I wonder if I can apply for that show Clean Sweep! Once wrestling season starts in just 5 short weeks I'll hardly ever get down there. As a matter of fact I have almost 500 photos of DJ last year that I still have not put into albums. I really have fallen behind. I just need to make a plan and stick to it. Easier said then done.

Yesterday was my day at Remicaid. So much fun. As usual I was the last one to get done. It was 8:30pm and I was going to fly home so I didn't miss Grey's last night.
What did everyone think of Grey's? I thought it was pretty good. I just loved that "Really Old Guy" aka Charlie woke up and new everything that was going with them all. He was so funny with Izzy. I loved that Derek yelled at Mark and Chief and told them that they were old and should not have done that surgery. How about Miranda helping out Callie? I think they would be a good team. Callie is soft and Miranda is tough. And I'm so glad that Meredith caught on about Cristina faking that she is soooo sad with the woooo is me trick, she is back to her normal self. I was a little upset with the end... I think Alex was just plain mean to George! That was not nice at all. He didn't need to do that. I was a little happy that George told Callie that he slept with Izzy though. I'm looking forward to next week.

Now as for Big Shots last night... I only got to watch about 1/2 of it before passing out cold from the IV treatment. I'm going to have to finally break down and get the DVR box from Cablevision. I just hate that I have to disconnect this one and then reconnect the new one. Its a big pain in the butt. So did anyone watch Big Shots last night that can catch me up fromt he re-bachelor party when he left with the blonde and she pulled out all the condoms? I'm going to check ABC and see if I can watch it there. I doubt it, but it can't hurt to try.

For tonights viewing pleasures... I'm looking forward to my Men in Trees premiere tonight. There is also another new show starting tonight starring I think Angie Harmon, just can't remember the title... something Womens Murder Club, this looks interesting.

Ok... nothing else to report here. I've got a lot to do today hopefully I won't fall asleep before I get it all done. Have a great day and weekend.

Raccoons or Squirrels?

Well this is the ultimate question for this morning. Late last night or should I really say about 3am this morning Lacey (our dog) jumped off the bed and ran to the window. Now she normally never jumps off the bed unless someone just came home or someone or something is in front of the house. All of a sudden I start hearing this unbelievable animal screeching. It was in the tree in the front and to be honest I'm not sure if it was 2 squirrels or a raccoon after a squirrel. This lasted for about a minute and was making Lacey crazy! She was barking like crazy and kept running from the room to the back door like she had to get out there. I finally let her out the back so she could see that they were gone, but she insisted on barking anyway. Eventually I was able to get her back in the house, but she kept a vigil at the window for about another 30 mins. which kept me up. With that I didn't get back to sleep until 5:30am! The fun just never ends here. Something exciting with every twist and turn!

2 peas challenge for today:
Are you a person who will go out of your norm to try something new at least once. Or stay with that your comfortable with?
I think that I mostly stay in my comfort zone in most cases. I have and will try something new a lot of times, but then I just go back to what I'm comfortable with. I think that I'm a creature of habit.

Thats it for me today. I have work (which they keep cutting my hours, I'm not happy about that)today 10-1. Why bother I think sometimes. Then later I'm going for my IV treatment. I hope this one really kicks in. The last one really didn't work that great. Other than that nothing much is going on.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday.

William Tell Overture

This is absolutely the best thing I've heard in a long time. Enjoy and I hope you brings a smile to your face because it did to mine!

So much to do......

and NO energy to do it! I have been like this since the middle of the summer. I don't know what is going on but it is kill me. My entire house really needs to overhauled. I know I should just do it in little spurts (that's what others say) so that I am not overwhelmed, but I really don't even want to do that.

My plan for this weekend was to clean my scrap area. Well.... I never even stepped foot down there this entire weekend. Yesterday I really did nothing. I went to a small craft show, which was really horrible. Nothing really exciting or motivating to be honest.

I did however find a wonderful candle booth which is operated by a husband and wife and they make soy candles. The scents are just wonderful. I bought 3 small candles in 3 different scents, but I have to say that my favorite scent was the Banana Nut Bread! Unfortunately, they did not have any of that scent in the size that I was buying. Oh well... I did however get Montauk Breeze, Kiwi Strawberry, and Pomegranite Passion. Very nice scents! I also found out that they are going to start to do parties and they do fund raisers (which I am very interested in).

Today I am doing all the laundry! This is no small task in this house and I've decided to get motivated a little and at least clean the entire bathroom from top to bottom (since no else is going to do it in this house). This will be another challenge for me today since I'm still not sleeping good and in quite a bit of pain still! But it needs to be done. I'm taking baby steps!

Ok.... So on that note I better get my behind moving here and get some stuff going. I'm on my 2nd load of laundry so that is a start. Hope everyone is having a terrific weekend.

TGI-Friday!

This is how I feel this morning! Again, I really didn't sleep last night and was sadly in quite a bit of pain all night. I could not figure out why I was in so much pain, then this morning I get up and as the sun is trying to break through I notice that it must've rained some last night and apparently there is a ton of humidity here today. Well.... by golly that would explain all my pain. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I got up last night to just walk a bit and hopefully it was going to make it better (it didn't btw). What I really should've done was when I got up at the 4am time I should've just hopped in for a really nice hot bath, but no.... I didn't do that. Live and Learn.

Ok... enough about my sleepnapea, moving on to the Thursday night shows! What did you think of Greys last night? I thought it was great. I think my favorite part was when Dr. Bailey started hitting Alex and then he said Thank You to her. That was great. I'm not sure if I like the whole idea of Callie losing it sooooo soon in the season. I don't know where George and her are going to end up, but it is obvious that he loves Izzy. I think Meredith is being very mean Lexi (the half sister). I mean really, this poor kid didn't even know she had an older sister, they've both been wronged by the father. I really thought that Derek was going to break up with her also last night, but that didn't happen, in a way I'm glad. I'm sure that I missed some other highlights, please feel free to add them in the comments.

Now, this new show BIG SHOTS just has me rolling. It is pretty funny. I really love the writing on this show. If you have not watched it yet, you really need to. If you have not seen it yet and want to know what its about click here: Big Shots - Home - ABC.com It is one of my new fav's!

Now 2 peas challenge: What are your scrappin plans for the weekend? I really don't have any plans, but I do know that if the weather (and the pain) are good, I'm going down there and trying to get it all cleaned and organized! This has got to happen soon. I can't stand looking at it any more.
That's it for me.... Ohhh btw- if you missed Pushing Up Daisies and/or Private Practice on Wednesday I heard that they are re-showing them tonight so check your local listings.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day and a terrific weekend!

Somethings Wrong?

Here it is 3am and I can't sleep. I don't know what it is for the past week or so, but I will usually fall back to sleep about 5am and then I have to get up by 6:30am to get Joseph out the door (he can't function in the mornings, me either lately!). Then I stay up because if I go back to sleep for that hour or so... I can not get moving when its time to. Its almost like having a hangover, but I didn't get to have fun or a drink for that matter. I go to work until usually 2 (even though now they are screwing up everyones schedules and making cut backs, how do you cut back someone who only works 25 hours a week?) and by 3pm I'm usually crashed out across my bed for at least an hour nap. This is not normal! I'm usually a very busy person and have tons of energy. Not lately though. And then add that I haven't been sleeping good either at night, my world is crashing.

I did mention all this to my doctor who still believes that it is depression. I was taking a medicine and I have to tell you that it made me feel worse than before. I slept all the time during the day and at night was sleeping , but was not comfortable and woke up really late and with the hangover affect. Plus, I gained almost 20 lbs in 2 months from this crap! What is that all about. I wasn't even eating really. I had no appetite. So we finally convinced my prescription plan to give me the medicine that my doctor first wanted me on. Lets see how this goes. It can't hurt to try at this point. I will be starting it tomorrow (this morning). I know that it does take time to kick in, but I'm hoping (crossing my fingers) that this one works. I really don't like taking all this medicine. Maybe that is why I constantly have heartburn and acid reflux. I'm about to give up real soon with all the meds and just take nothing, but I really do know what will happen (done this before) and ended up in the hospital and spending 2 years in a wheel chair.

Ok... on to some good stuff! Did anyone see Private Practice last night? I cried at the end. This was a very sad situation. I think this show may be a keeper. I love how strong Madison is. Now I have to say I did put on the new show Pushing up Daisies, but didn't really get to watch it all. I'm not really sure about this show. It was a little weird to say the least. Then I was in full focus (well most of the time, when Joseph wasn't bothering me) on Dirty, Sexy, Money! I really love this show. All the little twists and turns. Very interesting to see what is going to happen next. I would have to say this is a Must Watch Show. Now again I have not gotten the DVR from cable company yet... so I kept switching inbetween Private Practice and Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey! I just love this show and again he was right out here on Long Island! I can't wait to visit this restaurant.

I have not scrapbooked in days now... still trying to figure out how to get the little area I have down in the basement (with all dh's stuff thrown all about, and did I mention all the dust, cobwebs and who knows what else) cleaned up and organized. I really have to work on this this weekend.

Ohhh well............ I've rambled on forever, ok... 18 mins actually, but that is enough of your precious time. Go on... get out of here and have today.

Where do you go?

The 2 peas challenge for today is: When you are stuck and need some inspiration. Where do you turn? I know that there are so many places to turn to, but truthfully, I always turn to my 2 peas blogging friends. You guys are always supportive and constantly inspiring me with new ideas. I will also take a little carpet ride through the 2 peas gallery to see what others are creating. It is really amazing at what you will find there. There is so much creativeness there, sometimes it just kicks my creative juices into high gear. Then I just hope for the best.

Other inspiration comes from my sister. Since we web cam almost every day and she is a scrapper also we always bounce ideas off each other. We also share every single one of our pictures so we know what photo(s) we are working on at the time. Sometimes its a little weird, because all of sudden we are telling the other what photos we are doing and we picked the same photos. Then we decide not to show each other what we are doing with them and give a time frame to be completely done and then we show our creations. Its really fun. We have pretty different styles so its nice to see the photos that you are working on in a different lo.

I will also go through some magazines and books for some inspiration. But the first 2 are my main helpers, lol.

TV this week so far.....
House: Ok... I don't know about any of you, but I just kept lol last night with House. I just loved this episode this week. Now for anyone that watched...... Is the one guy (who looks of Indian decent) Bug from Crossing Jordan. He just looks and sounds a lot like him. I could've also sworn that I saw the guy from Men in Black.... the pawn shop guy who grows his head back. Ok.. maybe I'm losing it. If you watched... what did you think? I really loved it. He was very witty again, harsh, and mean sometimes, typical House. I loved the scenes when Chase, Cameron, and Foreman come walking in slow motion. Then the scene when he does surgery and Chase is in the observation room and gives the diagnoses. That was priceless! I'm also glad that he "Fired" those twins (boring) and that other girl (with the accent) at the end. I really didn't care for her.... too snooty if you ask me. I was a little surprised that he kept the plastic surgeon and that blonde girl, but we will see what happens next week.

Has anyone gotten to watch this new show Cane? Staring Jimmy Smits. It is pretty good. It is much different than what I expected, but it is getting very interesting and I'm wondering where it is going to end up going. It is basically about 2 families, one is from the town they are in (somewhere in FL, I think, very southern state) and the other family came over from Cuba and planted themselves right there in the town on many acres of land and started a sugar cane farm. Which the other family also owns a sugar cane farm, but does not like the Cuban family and for many years has tried to get rid of them with numerous things (like killing the youngest daughter and never getting caught). Apparently, Jimmy Smits was adopted by the Cuban family many years ago when he was a young boy and actually seen one of the men who worked for the other family kidnap the little girl, but no one every believed him because that family is very prominent in the community. Now Smits has grown up and married the daughter of the Cuban family, how weird is that. The Cuban father (you know him I just can't think of his name... Hector something or nother) decides he is going to retire and give each of his 3 kids 30% of the business and Smits gets 10% giving him full control of the company. Now a family feud is going on. It gets even more interesting. If you go here you might be able to get a better idea of what I'm talking about since I'm just rambling on. Cane on CBS.com - Home

Ok... that is it for me today... I hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Ok ladies..... It is that time of the year again. Yep... Time to get the girls checked out if you have not done so already. I actually had mine done back in February. That is usually a less hectic time for me and the mammo places are not as packed. So please ... if you have not gone this year yet, try to get there this month. Remember, It can save your life.

Now, I have been a slacker with doing the 2 peas challenges, so this one I decided to do today.
When doing a layout, do you chose to mat or not mat your photos? Well, honestly it depends on the photos and how I am planning on doing the actual layout. Sometimes I love to mat and other times I just want to finish the darn page and get it over with (as sad as that sounds). Now that I think about it... I will usually mat most of the photos though. There are a few layouts that I did not.

Now... I don't remember where I got this little blog thing below... it is something fun to do when you have nothing else really going on, but it sure is right on. I just answered the questions very honestly and to be honest I thought it was going to pop up with something in Colorado or like Montana somewhere. Its funny how some things work out and hopefully I will finally be there in 2 years for a very long time.

Movie Weekend

The weekend here was very pleasant and actually calm! No big explosions or too much drama to speak of. For me that is wonderful. The weather was perfect the entire weekend.

As for Saturday, I did the normal grocery shopping and then pretty much nothing else the rest of the day, but relax. It seems so long ago (ok.. 2 days) I can't seem to remember what I did exactly except the shopping. I'm sure I had to do other things but can't seem to remember. I think old age is finally kicking in here. This is not a good sign, not at all. I do remember web caming with my sister for probably 2 hours, but that's about it. Oh well,,,, maybe ds would remember for me.

Ahhhhh see... I just remembered something. DJ seemed to have a little relapse on Saturday. High fever and just exhausted. So I spent most of the day with him sitting in the livingroom watching movies! Fun. We actually watched one of my favorite older movies "Cutting Edge" it stars D.B. Sweeney and Moira Kelly. I just love that movie. DJ likes it because it has a lot of funny parts in it. I know we watched "The Illusionist" also. That was better than I thought it would be. DJ really liked that movie a lot.

Now as for yesterday... I did all the laundry which was 4 loads of wash, ugh! and then I really needed to clean all my scrapbooking stuff off the diningroom table. This was no easy task to say the least. I just don't enjoy being down in the dungeon any more. I think I'm going to have to re-vamp the downstairs especially the area that I'm in. DH has all his crap all over the place down there also, so its a big mess to say the least. And I don't think he every cleaned his area and now its rolling over into mine, especially when I don't get to go down their much anymore.

Now after all the cleaning and putting up the "gravy"(sauce) for dinner and making all the meatballs I decided I did enough for one day. And about 5 pm I went in my room and locked myself in there for hours! Just watching movies on TV. Lets see.. I watched Down to You with Freddie Prinze, Jr and Julia Stiles. Very cute movie. Then I watched The Prince and Me, again with Julia Stiles. After that one was The Prince and Me: The Royal Wedding, which I have to tell you I fell asleep watching it! So I could not even tell you how it was.

Today, I have work and really want to try to get myself downstairs and cleanup my area. I have no place to put anything anymore and it is just plain dirty down there right now. I can't stand it. It really is basically an un-finished basement with work benches all around. One side is mine and the other still belongs to DH which really shouldn't be.. he has a brand new garage for all his crap. I don't even have enough room to store anything down there really. It really stinks, but I need to make it work for now. So I might as well make it look good so I will want to go down there and work. Other than that nothing else is really going on for today.
I hope everyone has a Marvelous Monday!
